1. Keep your huddle room compact

A huddle room is essentially about short meetings with a small group, usually consisting of 2 to 6 people. Organise your space accordingly, with a small table where everyone can put a laptop, and a few chairs.

2. Provide equipment that matches your systems

Do you use Zoom Meetings or Microsoft Teams for your virtual meetings? Then make sure the equipment you place in your huddle room is compatible with your systems. Could you use some help implementing the right software for hybrid working or virtual collaboration? Duppal is happy to help: contact us.

3. Choose a user-friendly video conferencing system

The video conferencing system in your huddle room does not have to be as elaborate as in a large meeting room. A screen with a good, integrated camera, a (separate) microphone that you can move and a user-friendly video conferencing system are the key components. In a huddle room, what matters most is that you can get going quickly and easily.

4. Taking notes on a whiteboard

A whiteboard is a valuable addition to a huddle room. Especially when you use the screen to communicate with colleagues, it is nice to still have somewhere to make notes. Make sure the whiteboard is clearly visible to everyone, including colleagues that are participating from home.

5. Make sure you have a good internet connection

You will often use your huddle room for a meeting with colleagues or external people dialing in: a good internet connection is very important here!

Work efficiently and productively with a huddle room

Huddle rooms are booming: these small, convenient and creative spaces are highly popular with users. Especially when your colleagues regularly work from home, a huddle room has many advantages. You can hold undisturbed discussions with a small team and because the room is functional and equipped with a screen, you have everything you need to get started with, for example, a brainstorming session with your team or a meeting with colleagues who are working from home.
