The video conferencing market is growing at a rapid pace and Duppal has noticed that too. Reason for the growing company to expand its team. From May 1, Rutger Zeldenrijk will strengthen the Duppal team. In his role as a ‘collaboration specialist’, Rutger will be involved in the design of complex UC&C projects and managing customer relations. “Rutger is a very valuable addition to our team, we are very pleased with his arrival,” says Debby Kappetijn, Marketing & Sales Director at Duppal.
18 years of experience in the video conferencing industry
Rutger is an old acquaintance of several people at Duppal. Debby, Rutger, Sander, and Sven know each other from their time at Talk & Vision, a provider of videoconferencing that nowadays is part of KPN. From 2002 to 2015, Rutger worked in the sales office, as an account manager and later at KPN as a product manager. In recent years, Rutger worked as a product manager at AVEX, an audiovisual solutions company. Here he was responsible for, among other things, shaping the portfolio of solutions for videoconferencing and remote collaboration. He worked on the collaboration portfolio for Cisco, Google, Microsoft, Pexip, and Zoom. “In my time at AVEX, we already worked together with Duppal. AVEX took care of the physical set-up of meeting rooms and Duppal supplied the tool,” says Rutger.
Giving remote collaboration a boost
Rutger, too, sees that videoconferencing and remote collaboration have grown enormously in recent times: “I expect that people will continue to make smart choices and want to work together remotely. The benefits of work-life balance and sustainability are important drivers in this respect”. At Duppal he wants to advise and help customers to make that movement happen. According to him, Duppal’s approach to this is unique: “Duppal thinks along in the whole process and helps organizations make optimal use of a tool. User adoption is a neglected subject in many organizations, even though it is so important”. That’s one of the things Rutger finds so interesting about working at Duppal: “Deep down I’m a trainer. I like to understand how an organization works (together) and show how smart tools can help”.
Going into depth
In his new role, Rutger is mainly involved at the start of the process, thinking about collaboration solutions. “By figuring everything out from the start, we can make sure that the solution will eventually be worked out and fitted into the organization well”. He looks forward to going into depth and working with a team of specialists. “I know the Duppal team and they’re all specialists. I am excited to work with them!”
